Ada Wadley had had a stroke and bronchitis and skin lupus and had been bed-ridden for a long time at the time of her death in her 60's

Frederick Charles Wadley moved his mother Mrs Hills (she remarried) into one of his cottages at Great Bentley. (by all accounts she was cantankerous!!)

Frederick Charles Wadley of Great Bentley, who ended up in a home at Great Totham and died in hospital aged 84. They kept a village store. He was initially a schoolteacher then a French polisher and cabinet maker, Lay Preacher, Church Warden, Sunday School superintendent. They employed two 'girls' one as nanny and one in the house. They owned a shop and three cottages overlooking the green at Great Bentley Essex.
